4 day Game Walking Trail in the Greater Kruger Park Area

Your South African Safari Experience

On the day of departure you will be transferred from the hotel to the reserve gate early in the morning. The drive will take +-5 hours with stops along the way to stretch your legs and get snacks. Before too long, you will end up at a lovely bush pub where you meet your ranger, have lunch and sign the indemnity forms. After lunch you will be taken to a bush camp for your authentic walking trail experience.

Early in the mornings your guide will wake you with rusks and coffee or tea, before heading out on the trail. Taking in the fresh morning air you walk through the bush with your ranger. Watch how your ranger can decipher the tracks and signs left by passing animals during the course of the night. You explore the bush with excitement, keeping your eyes peeled for a brilliant sighting.

Back at the camp, a hearty breakfast awaits. After breakfast you can relax before the afternoon siesta. Before the late afternoon activity a light lunch is served. The last activity for the day is a walk and drive combination. Your ranger will look out for signs of animal activity in the area.

After the walk, your ranger will drive you to a lovely spot in the bush where you can have sundowners and watch a dramatic African sunset. Heading back to the camp, your ranger will switch on the flashlights and before you know it, you are on a night game drive looking out for nocturnal creatures.

Once you get back to the camp, a delicious supper and a crackling fire will be waiting for you. After eating your fill, sleep creeps up on and your bed is a welcome respite.

On the last day of your South African safari you will go out for one last walk. By this time you will realise just how much you have learnt during your time in the bush. After breakfast, you bid your ranger a fond farewell and get ready to travel on.
