You start your African Safari adventure once you arrive at Shishangeni Main Lodge. You will receive a warm welcome from attentive staff as you settle into your luxury chalet. Depending on your time of arrival, you can indulge in a delicious lunch or afternoon tea.

The chalets at Shishangeni have private game-viewing decks overlooking the African Bush. The chalets have been expertly positioned to ensure complete privacy for your African Safari Getaway. Family rooms are also available on request so you are welcome to bring your family to share your memorable Kruger safari experience.

Seeing Kruger Park’s spectacular array of wildlife is the reason you are on safari so you will no doubt be eager to embark on an afternoon game drive.

Watch out for the Big Five animals (Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Rhino, Buffalo) as well as smaller animals and birds. Game drives are conducted in open safari vehicles by expertly trained rangers. Shishangeni offers a program for kids with a dedicated ranger that offers kiddies game drives in the mornings and afternoons, plus an extra activity slot before and after lunch. Children will be entertained and educated about the African bush and all its creatures.

After witnessing Kruger’s wildlife and a spectacular African sunset you will return to your safari lodge to relish traditional South African bush cuisine. Dinners are beautifully prepared by a team of dedicated chefs. For an extra special dining experience you can dine under the star studded African night sky, around a blazing fire, or out on the deck.

Other facilities and activities at Shishangeni, all contributing to your complete relaxation while on safari, include idling around the swimming pool, sipping a cold beer or glass of wine, personally selected from the well stocked wine cellar or reading a book from the library. If you have energy to burn then the fully equipped gymnasium will keep you in shape while on holiday in Kruger Park.

After a restful night’s sleep, you can start your African safari adventure all over again. Early morning game drives let you experience more wildlife sightings. Don’t forget to bring your camera so you can share your safari memories with your friends and family.
