Finding Your Way Around:

Early morning is the best time for game viewing in Kruger National Park. Animals are usually active this time of the day so sightings are excellent. This Kruger Park self-drive tour will provide you with the opportunity to experience the fascinating wildlife of Africa at your own pace.

During the heat of the day animals are usually out of sight, so this time can be used to relax. Enjoy a siesta or stock up on some gifts in the curio shop. All main camps have swimming pools, so you can take a refreshing swim to cool off.

Kruger Park's birdlife is spectacular, and birding enthusiasts will enjoy exploring the area. The abundance of other wildlife includes a variety of antelope such as Duiker, Waterbuck, Impala, Sable and Klipspringer that can be spotted regularly. Keep an eye out for the Big Five, Elephant, Lion, Rhino, Buffalo and Leopard. Other regularly encountered species include Hippopotamus, Wild Dog, Hyena, and Crocodile.
