Your African Safari Experience

Upon arrival at this luxury game lodge, you will be welcomed with a refreshing drink and served a delicious lunch in the dining area before departing on your first exciting game drive in an open safari vehicle.

When you return from your safari game drive you will have a chance to freshen up and meet in the bar for a pre-dinner drink. Dinner will be announced by drumbeat and served in the open air boma around a log fire.

After waking up early in the morning, you depart on a morning game drive in search of the more fascinating wildlife in Sabi Sand Game Reserve. The guides at Elephant Plains Lodge will share their extensive knowledge and love of the African bush with you on your African safari.

Upon returning to the game lodge, you will be served a delicious South African breakfast. You then have the opportunity to go on a game walk or simply relax by the pool, spa or around the lodge. Later an afternoon game drive safari affords you the opportunity to have a sundowner in the African bush. After sundowners your tracker will use the spotlight to find nocturnal animals before returning to the lodge for dinner.

Elephant Plains can accommodate a maximum of 24 guests. This African game lodge comprises of a range of accommodation. The Manyeleti honeymoon suite offers privacy and a private splash pool. Guests can also stay in the luxurious glass-fronted suites each with its own en-suite bathroom and indoor and outdoor showers. There are also elegant chalets and rondavels (rounded huts) available to guests.

The main lodge houses the reception, dining room, bar/lounge, wine cellar, library and curio shop. On the last day of your African safari you will have the opportunity to go on on a game walk. During the game walk you will be able to take a closer look at animal tracks, birds, grass types and trees under the expert guidance of a Shangaan tracker.
