Your African Safari Experience

Arriving at Plains Camp, the staff will welcome you with a drink, some snacks and porter for your luggage. After settling in and talking to your guide about what you hope to see, you will go on your first game activity. Out in the African bush, there are a myriad of wildlife species to spot, from birds to large mammals, tiny creatures and insects.


All meals are served at the camp, breakfast, lunch and supper. Between pre-dinner drinks and after dinner drinks, there is a delicious variety of dishes at dinner time, complemented with great conversation of the sightings for the day. At night, you can get into your comfortable king size bed and drift off into a wonderful sleep.

At Plains Camp you begin the day with a morning walk, tracking the Big Five and following Elephant paths. Upon returning to the camp you enjoy a leisurely brunch and a chance to relax under the acacia trees while you watch the animals at the waterhole.


After high tea and a revitalizing swim in the plunge pool, you set out again for a walking safari or game drive and an opportunity to indulge in a cocktail at sunset. The drive back to the camp serves as an evening game drive where you can look out for the nocturnal animals of the Kruger National Park.
